History of Bhayagad

The Bhayagad Sevalal Temple, located in Bhayagad village of Karnataka, is one of the most important centers of devotion dedicated to Sant Sevalal Maharaj, the revered saint and spiritual leader of the Banjara community. This temple holds a special place in the hearts of devotees, as it stands as a symbol of faith, unity, and cultural identity.

The temple was built to honor the life and teachings of Sant Sevalal Maharaj (1739–1806), who guided the Banjara community on the path of truth, morality, and spirituality. Devotees from across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and other parts of India visit Bhayagad to pay homage and seek blessings.

The temple’s origins go back several decades when local community leaders and devotees came together to create a permanent place of worship dedicated to Sant Sevalal Maharaj. Over the years, the temple has been expanded and developed with the support of devotees and organizations, making it a spiritual and cultural hub.
